Gothic Lockpicker(“we”, “us”) is operated by TechGearSoftware. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and understand how it is used. This page describes exactly what that involves.

Information we collect

• Lock data you enter. The pin positions and connections you type into the solver are processed to compute a solution. The core solve runs in your browser; we do not use this data to identify you.
• Community map contributions. If you add a pin or vote on a solution on the chest map, that contribution and an associated technical identifier (such as a hashed IP used to prevent abuse and duplicate votes) are stored.
• Usage and device data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring page.

We do not ask for your name, email, or account, and we do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and measure usage. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how some features work.

Links to TechGearSoftware

This site promotes TechGearSoftware, our portfolio and business website. When you click those links we log the click (placement and timestamp) on our server and send standard referral parameters so we can measure traffic from this tool. We do not share that log with third parties.

Optional donations

If you choose to donate via a third-party service (such as Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee), that provider's privacy policy applies to the payment. We only receive what that service shares with creators (typically your display name and the amount).

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage: which pages are popular, how people navigate the site, and when they click through to our portfolio. Data retention and security

We retain community contributions and aggregate analytics for as long as they are useful to operate and improve the site. We rely on reputable hosting and service providers and take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure.

Children's privacy

Gothic Lockpicker is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Adjust or block cookies through your browser settings.
• Use the solver without contributing to the community map.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
